The Psychic Assassins have been performing together since 2006, and have come to embrace a variety of styles and means of expression. An emerging member of the Youngstown music scene, the Psychic Assassins blend dance rhythms with science fiction influences and a certain sense of brooding to create something completely unattempted in the Youngstown scene. The music covers many bases, dealing with the introspective and the planetary, the emotional and the intellectual. But the unifying theme is a sense of breaking boundaries. After a few years of songwriting, the band is making a steady debut into the Youngstown and Kent performance circuit. With an array of musical influences, the Psychic Assassins are more than a band. They're an initiative. They're part of a new wave of music for the area, something unfamiliar to the scene.
