History

Sotaro is a unique mix of ambient and expiremental sounds combined with modern influences of hardcore and progressive styles. After the original disbanding of Sotaro in late 2006, singer Matt Ramun continued the name with members of Youngstown metalcore band Bestowed (Rob Turczany, Nick Balog, Mark Delost) after their quick and unexplained breakup. After recruiting bassist Kevin McDaniel, and amazing keyboardist Pat Majernik, Sotaro quickly caused waves in the area music scene. In late 2007 Drummer Mark DeLost left after artistic and personal differences, leaving original drummer Ross Montgomery to fill the spot and bring the band a sense of refreshment. Sotaro uses their unique musical style and talents mixed with their powerfull and energy driven live performance to leave the audience in amazement and wonder. The band just completed their 3 song EP and are currently working on material for their full length album.
