Long Description: We will be partying at V.E. on Monday to celebrate Dyngas Day. Why? Well, since you asked, It is a Polish Celebration and we just received the about 8 new Polish Meads and the much anticipated Polish Brandy we have been trying to get since we hosted Polish Happy Hour at V.E. We are pretty excited at V.E because these unique beverages just came on a pallet from Poland last week. So, JUST IN TIME FOR DYNGUS DAY, WE WILL CELEBRATE THE FIRST ANNUAL DYNGUS DAY CELEBRATION AT V.E. and the new V.E. Terrace. We will have: Polish Mead, Polish Brandy, some Polish Beer, and of course, some Polish Vodka. Here is the origin of Dyngas Day: When exploring the roots of Dyngus Day, Historians point to the baptism of Polish Prince Mieszko I in 966 A.D. Baptism with water signifies cleansing, fertility, and purification. Somewhere along the way, the tradition of tossing water on the girls and hitting them with pussy willows evolved.
