Long Description: please visit www.grandfathermusic.com for a free download of our debut record "Why I'd Try" recorded with Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) Grandfather is embarking on a 35 date Summer tour, and will be playing The Lemon Grove in Youngstown on Sunday, August 24th w/ The Modulated Tones (formerly Fillmore Jive) and The Nervous Jerks. Grandfather recorded and released their debut album "Why I'd Try" with the Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) in August 2010. The album was recorded entirely in the analog domain (no digital pro tools). The record was released as a limited run of 300 vinyl records and distributed online for FREE in digital formats at www.grandfathermusic.com Grandfather opened for Mission of Burma in January 2011 Grandfather was recently named by SPIN MAGAZINE as one of the top ten bands at Brooklyn's Northside Festival.
