Long Description: The Hometown Heroes Series at Ford Family Recital Hall at the DeYor Preforming Arts Center opens Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. with Warren native Sean Jones. A graduate of Warren Harding High School and the Dana School of Music, Jones stepped down from his position as the lead trumpeter of Wynton Marslis’ Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, a position he held for the better half of a decade in 2010, to concentrate on his solo and recording career. That same year, he toured with Marcus Miller, a bassist, in Europe. In 2011, Jones’ released his sixth CD, titled “No Need for Words”. Tickets for Jones and his quartet are on sale now at the DeYor Preforming Arts Center box office or online at youngstownsymphony.com
