YOUNGSTOWN – Announcements were expected to come today for the Rockstar Taste of Chaos today, but details have been shortcoming.

Last month, venues and dates were announced. The listing for March 9, 2008 reads, "Pitt/Youngstown, PA Chevrolet Centre." However, that date is not on the Chevrolet Centre's calendar and isn't confirmed with officials there.

Bands for each date were to be released, but the lineup remains unclear. (Chaos could apply to the tour's Web site design as much as the music.)

Still, bands rumored to be performing include Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Bayside, Bullet For My Valentine, Blessthefall, The Confession, D'espairsRay, MUCC, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday and The Underneath (who also play as Transtic Nerve.) Some Web sites and fan message boards also list The Used, who are currently on the international Rockstar Taste of Energy Tour.

The tour is sponsored by the energy drink Rockstar and also Hurley.

While the bands are likely to change, this could be some indication of the amount of good music to come to the city.

Think of this article as a "Save the Date" e-card.

Details to come.
