UPDATED: Lil Wayne show delayed

YOUNGSTOWN – The April 20 performance by Lil Wayne at the Chevy Centre has been re-scheduled for May 10.

According to local promotions company MAyNSTREAM, the Southern rapper, also known as Weezy, could not be perform on his originally scheduled date because of a change in CSI’s filming schedule due to the Hollywood Writer's Strike. He is expected to have a cameo on an upcoming episode.

“Hey Youngstown,” Lil Wayne said in a press release sent out days before the originally scheduled performance. “I wish I could be at the Chevrolet Centre this Sunday, but I’m shooting an episode of CSI. I promise I will make it up to you.... a May date! We are gonna blow the place up and add 2500 more seats to make sure everyone can be there. Get your tickets now.”

Tickets are still available for the rescheduled performance on May 10. All tickets will be honored and 2,500 additional tickets have been made available.

Oh, and by the way — the dice lollipops from the video for Lil Wayne’s latest single, “Lollipop,” are available through Sin City Suckers.
