DimStarShining sends off lead singer in final show

YOUNGSTOWN – DimStarShining is giving it one last go.
They're slated to play Cedars Lounge Jan. 5 with First in Space and The Kellys.
It comes following an announcement in July that they'd be calling it quits after four years.
Their last show had been Aug. 11, but this show will serve as a reunion and send off for lead singer Mike Gaitanis, who will move to Nashville the next day.
In the reunion, original drummer Heather Jurina (also of Tilt 360) will play along with Angelo Scordo (now fronting Idle Shade) and Noll Hartman, now of First In Space. Yes, that means Hartman will play in two bands that night at Cedars.
Guitarist Kevin Povec will not be in attendance, as he'll be on his honeymoon and not in the area.

Where: Cedars Lounge, 23 N. Hazel Street, Youngstown
Gaitanis says he's heading to Nasvhille with no plan.
"I just want to go, and just create and grow as a musician and artist," he says. "I just kind of want to make my own music, have my own songs. I want to put myself out there musically and see where that takes me."
But, he clarified that his leaving isn't a diss to the scene.
"I want people to know that I'm not going down there just for myself, but for Youngstown in general. I wanna spread the word about all the great talent here and I want to help out everyone else as much as I can," he says. "Everybody here is really, really special for me. I want to know I'm not gonna let anybody down."
