One note: St. Patrick's Day events are on their way, but since there's so much planned, I thought I'd give the holiday its own story. So check out the other goings-on in March!
6 — Nellie McKay will bring her unique sound to one of the best jazz venues in the Midwest when she plays Nighttown in Cleveland.
7-9 — It's not just for kids — check out the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus "Bellobration" when they come to town to play the Chevrolet Centre.
8 — Kitchen Knife Conspiracy will celebrate 10 years of metal with their Stomp Core Celebration at The Cellar, with Secondhand Suicide, Off the Rocker, Harlequin's Voice and Forever We Stand.
8 — Another night of great acoustic music will happen at Cedars Lounge with Strength of Strings.
9 — Get your girl rocking on with The Donnas at Mr. Smalls Funhouse in Pittsburgh. In an odd scheduling, Red Wanting Blue is scheduled to open for The Donnas.
13 — If "Every day I'm hustlin'" means anything to you, check out Kat Williams at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center.
14 — What ever happened to Charlie Brown, anyway? "Dog Sees God" opens at the Oakland Center for the Arts and gives one theory on the Blockhead's fate.
14 — A good night of energetic reggae and rock with 5 Elements with Tropidelic at Cedars Lounge.
15 — Who says you can't... sneak in 80s pop where you can? American Idol's Daughtry will open for Bon Jovi at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.
15 — Be warned: the Turbo Lovers will rock you if you catch them at the Royal Oaks.
18 — Maybe you've seen the movie, maybe you've seen it on Broadway. A touring production of "RENT: The Musical" will come to Youngstown for a performance at the DeYor Performing Arts Center.
20 — Revisit your younger (higher) days with Clutch's performance at Mr. Smalls Funhouse in Pittsburgh.
22 — Local rocks with Tilt 360, Off the Rocker, Grand Fury at Cedars Lounge.
27 — Youngstown State University will open a production of complex cop comedy/drama "Lobby Hero."
28 — Country fans rest assured, there's music for you, too. Joe Nichols will play Pepsi Roadhouse in Burgettstown, a suburb of Pittsburgh. (Caution: Tickets start at $59 and only go up from there.)
29 — This, my friend, is rock. Superbird, Mountains of Mars, Deathcrazed Teenage Superheroes at Cedars Lounge.
