Staff report

Seats are still available for the Sutliff Museum’s three one-day bus tours this summer.

Here’s a look at each:

June 11: Ohio Village and the Ohio History Center in Columbus. Guests will get an up-close view of life in the 1890s, plus view all of the exhibits in the History Center. A box lunch is included with this trip, which will leave at 8 a.m. and return by 8 p.m. with a stop for dinner.

July 17: Bedford, Ohio. Guests will visit four buildings owned and preserved by the Bedford Historical Society: the Hezekiah Dunham House, the 1874 Town Hall, the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad Depot, and an 1892 Gothic revival Baptist Church. Lunch will be provided and served by members of the Bedford Historical Society. This trip will leave at 8:30 a.m. and return by 4 p.m.

Aug. 12: Canton and Massillon. Guests will visit the National First Ladies’ Historic Site in Canton, followed by lunch at Bender’s Tavern. The second stop will be Five Oaks Historic Mansion in Massillon. This trip will leave at 8 a.m. and return by 4:30 p.m.

The cost for each trip is $65 and includes lunch, transportation, admissions, snacks, guides and insurance.

All trips will leave from – and return to – the parking lot of the Walmart at 2016 Millennium Blvd. in Cortland.

Each trip is limited to 45 people so early registration is encouraged.
