I really disliked the food and drinks. The Guinness Draft didn't taste right at all.. very disappointed because the bar is right down the street and could use a nice local bar

Open Mic Night - what a joke! Bands are limited, or not, based on whether the owner likes what they play.
Completely unfair, and totally not in the spirit of open mic night.
We won't be back, and we brought in lots of money on Wednesday night.
Hope your "Magma" crowd spends as much as we did.
Open mic at Aces is pretty good considering most open mics dont have shit. They provide musicians with top quality gear and you dont even need to bring your own shit if you dont want to. Whoever left the last comment on open mic is a fucking child probably under the age of 18 and has no concept of how life or business works. Grow up and dont go to Aces if you cant deal with the rules. Besides, no venue in Youngstown is amazing, we're lucky that people even make an attempt to provide us w/ some sort of live music even if the bands arent amazing all the time. You're in high school though so no one expects you to understand this concept
Petty jelousy is an ugly thing
Aces Wild Wings is a nice place. I only seem to go on Open Mic nights, though. They get a decent crowd for Open Mic night and things run pretty smoothly throughout the night. The players are more courteous of their "15 minute" slot than other places. The equipment there rocks, also. The drum set is very nice, and the sound system is just as good. Beats the crap out of most places.
The staff is very nice also. The owner is usually around and you'll always see him with a smile. Good vibe in the place. Good selection of drafts. I've never had a "bad" draft. I've also never seen "selectivity" towards bands during Open Mic. Though once or twice they probably should have ..
