Service is slooooooooow. Food is ok if you want to wait forever. Don't even think about going into the restroom....it hasn't been cleaned in years....some nasty things crawling around there....makes you wonder about the kitchen
Could not even get a waitress to serve us drinks, had to walk up to the bar and wait there too.
Avalon Update.....they finally fixed the bathrooms. No, really, I kid you not! I go to the Av' every other Thursday for live jazz, and have lunch there once a month. The food can be hit-or-miss on occasion, but the service has always been good. They have an awesome selection of bottled beers as well as a varied wine selection. The specials and salads are the most reliable. But the music - especially the John Reese Project - is totally first rate, and there is NO COVER.
Avalon Update - Best Pizza in the area. Call ahead on Friday, very busy during dinner. New specials including 12' pizza & 12 wings for $12 on Wednesday, but it's eat in only. Great Beer Battered Haddock on Fridays, big portions, great price. 35 cent wings on Thursday, eat in only.
John Reese every other Thursday and Aunt Ester every other Sunday.
