If you are a person who loves to pay a cover charge to have a headache just come here. There is usually an unsual obnoxious band playing and I end up leaving in 10 minutes. This bar is slightly mediocre on good nights.

I saw their bouncer drag some kid off of the dancefloor to the sidewalk, and literally puch him in the face till he fell over. If that is not a good enough reason to not go to this bar, then I do not know what is. They usually let you smoke inside, it is seedy as hell, and do not even dare think of eating the food (I have heard from VERY reliable sources their cook always drops stuff on the floor and believes in the "5 second" rule). Stage is pathetic for shows and their DJ is an idiot. Most nights have 10-20 people with the occasional crowd for bands I guess. Really... who carries all those CDs in 2010?!?‎

Talk about being a downtown dive! This used to be a respectable place but now it's gone waaaaaaayyyy too "urban." The bands usually suck, the DJ's are bad, the bouncers are over-aggressive, and the cover charge is too high for the crap they put on stage. The food is good but I question the cleanliness of the kitchen. If you're into the drug scene, you will be in heaven. Just look for the tall bartender with the dark, wavy, slicked back hair. He will hook you up with whatever you want. I don't know why the cops haven't raided this place yet. But then again, this IS Y-town we're talking about. LOL! One good thing... That nasty female bartender R.Z. is finally gone and so is her attitude! Yo R.Z., you're a Y-town BARTENDER not a Y-town goddess! Don't think you are more than you are!

apparently anonymous forgot about when it was the Plaza Cafe and they used to have mason jars full of pot from Pedaline's pot warehouse down the street underneath the bar to sell. Even despite that, the Plaza Cafe was preferrable to Barleys when it came to bands, crowd, music and drinks. Their buy-one-get-one special was a steal, just wait for the drunk courthouse workers to leave and give you all their drink chips.
