This is it folks, the week before the first evar YOUNGSTOWN ROCKS THE ARTS festival! What sets this festival apart from the umpteen others you’ll find this summer?
Beer, music, food...and ART, of all fashions.
There will be an artists’ tent with all kinds of wares for sale from kinetic metal sculpture to tie dye to jewelry to photography. But you’ll also find very different artistic expresssions throughout the day: performance art, drum circle, dancing, a spiritualist, and... a MIME. Did your festival have a mime? No. Then it is not as cool as ours.
There will also be kid-friendly fun from 3-5pm with pinwheels, balloons, a clown, puppet show, fingerpainting and chalk the walk.
Brooke Slanina, current President of the board of The Oakland Center will be our lead MC for the stage events.
